Immunity helps the individual fight against prolonged ailments in areas like physical, emotional and environmental. Proper intake of food and a balanced diet can reduce the immunity problems to a large extent.
Immunity can be classified as Innate and Humoral immunity scientifically. As per the Ayurvedic Medicinal doctrine, a person is composed of five basic elements of life—Space, air, water and earth.
The five elements combine to form three physiological humors known as Tridosha. These humors are titled as vata, pitta and kapha.A mix up of these elements represents the genomic individuality through their tendencies for balance, disease, behaviors and temperament. The three elements named Prana, Tejas and Soma help ion balancing of the human body.
Ayurveda assists in maintaining a proper balance of the three Doshas.
In Ayurveda conception takes place when a healthy sperm, healthy ovum and a healthy uterus are available. For both men and women to be sexually active, a reproductive tissue known as shukra dhatu should be active.
In women the Shukra dhatu is the ovum and is part of the monthly cycle whereas in men it’s the semen formed due to sexual stimulation. In Ayurveda concepts, the Shukra dhatu creates a long chain of metabolic transformations.
The process begins with digestion of food to transformation of blood to the nutrient fluid, blood, muscles, bone, bone marrow and then to the Shukra dhatu. A healthy tissue depends on the healthiness of other tissues in the body.
Causes of infertility should be investigated by methods like Shodhana, Abhynaga and Njavara and other techniques. Some of the main treatments include Uttara Vasthi and Brimhana Vasthi.
Insomnia in Ayurveda also captioned as Anidra is responsible for sleep disorders. From the ayurvedic perspective, the three doshas or humors are completely responsible for Trapak Kapha, Sadhak Pitta or Prana Vitta.
Trapak Kapha is a sub of Kpaha (water) that nourishes the brain cells and facilitates for good sleep. Improper nourishment of such doshas leads to insomnia. This controls emotions, desires, decisiveness and spirituality. The imbalance of such doshas makes a person demanding and workaholic.
Prana Vitta a sub category of vata (air) is linked to insomnia, worry, anxiety and depression. This dosha makes the nervous system to be sensitive.
Each disease varies from user to user. And so, Ayurveda provides treatments accordingly. Some of the possible treatment includes Panchakarma and others.
