Migraine Headaches are an outcome of specific activation changes within the brain. The outcome of this migraine causes severe headache when exposed to light, strange sounds or smells.
The exact cause is unknown. Changes in the neurotransmitter signals are said to play a significant role. Migraines are diagnosed through the above mentioned symptoms. Even foods are major cause for the headache in some cases. Certain other factors like hormonal changes, stress, strong stimuli like loud noise and certain pungent smells also trigger migraines.
Migraine or Pittaj shiriashool has been a disease affected largely by both mind andbody. Migraine can be caused by an imbalance of the Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas. Other causes that could be factors for migraine are mental stress, reading in lowlight, lack of sleep or poor diet.
